Today, my accommodation, Albert House directed a horror/thriller starring (almost) all of the people staying.
The Amazing Race(Albert House ed.)
Directed by: Owner of Albert House.
Script Writer: Former Albert House squatter.
Starring: Almost everyone in Albert House.
Guest Starring: Friends of former Albert House squatters.
Sigh...I chose the wrong day to take a morning walk to a (quite) far train station to get a book.
As soon as I got back, while eating lunch.
Teammate A: Hey Wee Lee, you are with me in Leader's group.
Inner thought: Uh oh...
Mission Start!
Briefing,
MZ(Script Writer): Ok, you will need to take various of pictures around Melbourne and yadadada....
1.30pm
Preparations,
Bottles-check
Camera with battery-check
Bag-check
Shoes-check
Team members-uh...I think 2 went MIA already.(Went shopping...)...Nevermind, Let's go...
2.00pm
Starts!
And so, the horror scene including running around all of Melbourne City just to realise we missed a picture just by a look, jay walking around Melbourne City avoiding cars and trams, bumping into other teams, and so on.
Note: Jay walking in Melbourne gets $150 fine(ouch!)
4.45pm
Final lap: Get to Melbourne Central by 5.(From current location, walking would take 25min)
Leader: Let's go...run!
Teammate B: *Follows on*
Few sec later, I lost sight of them.
4.55pm
Reaching Melbourne Central...
Me: Phew, made it...*resting as the clock struck 5*
*Pictures taken by camera mans for a couple of seconds*
Somebody : Run ah!!!
Inner Thought: Not again...
The last part is apparently is running back to Albert House from Melbourne Central.
At least the relieved part is.
First team: 102 points
2nd team : 71 points
3rd team : 54 points
4th team : 37 points
And so on.
Winner team gets 500mb added to their internet limit per member.
2nd team gets movie ticket.
And yea, my team won...due to crazy running.
Now I am dead tired.
Friday was the last day of orientation(*sniff*...*blow nose*). Admittedly I really like the orientation since its cool with lots of activities.
All good things must come to an end but it always ends with a BANG! in form of Fair Dinkun
Since the main purpose is to collect our student card on Friday which have a weird note on it...
Its divided into A-L and M-Z...the weird part is...A-L line is totally empty while M-Z is totally long... M-Z surnames sounds nicer?
We also have some clubs recruiting members...sad news is...only Trinity clubs are free...in order to join Melbourne Uni clubs...payment is needed.
But somehow...either I am not my normal self or maybe its just that there is...too many people in my dorm registering for Cook A Feast.
Note: IF it's not obvious enough...yes...it's a cooking club.
Note 2: The main reason some of the boys joined is hopefully to find girls.
Note to self: Learn up fire safety in case of emergency in the house of our mentors.
After the clubs...Its Bush Dance time.
Dancing to classic Aussie music is quite neat...although the dance is quite...unique.
Had a great time with the friends although its wow of a tiring.
At least I thought that was tiring...until the next day.
Ah...The day finally arrives for Maths 1 lecture...
Now I really get it why everyone was doing the homework with so much problems.
The lecture is messy...We started out from pg. 12...we "slowly" backtrack to 1...then go "slowly" to 10. I got hardly enough time to flip the pages.
Which contains too many things that I have not even heard about...less aside understanding.
Not to comment on anything but...It's kinda looked like our add.maths back then is soo inferior compared to the other countries...even Indo got something that I haven't seen before.
At least...the good news is...Maths 1...Calculator is allowed
On the bad news...no calculator allowed for Maths 2.(It's back to basics time!)
At least our lecturer promised that we won't be needing it, let's see if it is for real.
Today...we talk about literature...Why is literature important?
Seriously though...don't ask me...I won't know how to answer that even though my lecturer continue to babbl....er... I mean explain to us why is it so important.
After that was Maths 2. The teacher is wicked funny... Let's start with..a joke
What does 0 tell the 8?
Leave a shout to the answer.
Aside from cracking jokes...he does teaching quite well...I started to love maths for a change until...
Happily running back to my house...one of my housemate says "Let's go do Maths 1 homework...so that can enjoy the weekend!"
Feeling confident after maths 2 lecture...of course we all go.
1.00pm:
Start work...(Hmm..this looked like add.maths...oh wait a min...factorise cubic? uh oh)
2.00pm:
Omg...(how many more questions dude?...what the...Pascal's Triangle...you sure we still in Maths 1?)
4.00pm
Phew...finally done...or...are we?
8.00pm
(Sight of people doing the same work in the dining area fills the landscape)
Yesterday was the first day which lectures officially starts...
First off for me is...Academic Skills Unit
Um...its not an official subject but the lecturer stresses a lot about cultures such as Australian culture and ask us what differs from our personal culture.
I am not really sure whats the point of it...
Second comes Physics...and we learn about vectors!
Hmm...I wonder why is vector in add.maths back in Msia.
Anyway... some memories of add.maths seems to return a little...hopefully
Last for today is HOI a.k.a History of Ideas.
This is one unique subject that we must pass to get to uni but its possible to avoid getting graded.. Confusing enough?
Basically its History...but we don't have to memorise a thing...but we have to think of everything such as...'What is it to be human?'
That sort of stuff.
For those back in Msia, does the poem The Road Not Taken sounds familiar?
We are also doing it here...along with some poems from other states.
Most of you back in Msia would probably have read or going to read about an accident involving 5 teenagers on the highway
The car was speeding at 180km/h (Yes...that fast)
A collision caused 2 passenger in the rear seat to be hurled out of the car.
1 Died on the spot...
1 Died on the way to the hospital...
I have no direct link neither I know either of them but 1 of my housemate here is a friend of the 2 which have died...Both are only 16.
I posted this as a fair advice...please don't go speeding that fast ever and please fasten your rear seat belts.
My Condolence,
Lone Strider...

Probably the first time going back to the beach after a decade.
Beaches here is extremely clean as probably much would have guessed.
The wind is incredible and the water is cool and cold at the same time along with not-so-white sand but still clean non the less.
Seriously have to put this somehow: My current accommodation name
Thing to do while waiting for tram:
Taking picture of people waiting while standing on the track
P/s: Don't do this unless you have your insurance prepared...
Upon reaching:
After that? Well...
Heroes of Swimmers and Divers... seriously...the water is quite cold during that time...along with strong winds.
Note: Please only swim in between 2 marked flags indicating life guard service.
(The shown location is a bad example)
Strong wind= Good time for wind surfing...
Last but surely not least
